Funny how things work out sometimes. Good trainers can have shit Pokemon, Vesna. Sorry.
"I call everything garbage sometimes," Vanitas said with a snicker, continuing to pet and lavish Potya with love. Don't try and turn her against him, Yuri. That's just rude.
Glancing in the direction Yuri was squinting in, Vani almost looks thoughtful for a moment before his lips twitch into a grin.
"People are suckers for Pokemon doing anything. I bet you could make a fortune if you could get them to cooperate."
Her complaint was still valid, disembodied thought she couldn't actually hear, gawsh. Vesna rests the stem against her shoulder and turns.
Why was her trainer staring at her like that?
"I think Vesna would cooperate so long as she was given something she wanted in return and she knew that it was making her the center of attention."
Just the attention part would be enough surely.
Potya extends a graceful leg up as she rolls onto her back, squeezing her back toes against Vanitas's chin. You know what, you could have the belly too why not...
"What do you do for money around here?" Yuri shifts to stand, going to clean up the petals and stem bits.
"Reward the crap out of her to get her to perform. I like it." Of course he did. It sounded like something he would do in a heartbeat. "I could get some of mine to help, if you wanted. I bet they'd enjoy it." Mandrake would, he knew that much.
Potya's new pose gets a snort out of Vanitas though he's more than happy to scratch her belly to, lifting his head slightly to get his head away from her foot.
"Odd jobs, mostly," Vanitas replied with a slight shrug as Flood giggled in his lap.
Um, excuse you, she put her foot there for, a reason. She continues to sticky her leg out, paws kneading the air with a happy loud purr. She would absolutely ham it up in private, lets be real. Much like a normal cat from Yuri's world she too enjoyed as much attention as possible so long as no strangers caught her doing it.
"Odd jobs..? I guess I can figure something out like that for the time being." He dumps the bits and goes back to the couch. He rests his hands on his hips, staring at Potya.
"...Are you serious right now?" He sits down on his knees to scritch her head before burying his face into her belly and blowing raspberries.
The Glameow startles, thrashing and springing away quickly. She glares over her shoulder and seats her self before licking a paw gently. Well. Rude.
Vanitas can't help but start laughing as Potya scrambles off his lap and Flood follows suit, dissolving into giggles as she rolls off Vani's lap and--
Yep, there she goes disappearing into the couch.
Ghosts.
"She's going to end up tearing out all your hair in your sleep if you keep that up," he said through his laughter, reaching over to ruffle Potya's ears gently. "I won't feel bad for you, either."
"She secretly loves it, don't let her lie." Yuri shifts so he can reach out to nudge Potya with his foot. "Right? You love it. Huh, don't you?"
Potya is moving a little from him poking her butt and she gives him a flat judgey cat look before leaning up into Vanitas's hand. Then a firm swat at Yuri before she trots off to find a comfortable spot to drape herself.
"Hair grows back. Though this took a little while to grow out." He reaches up and messes with his hair a bit. "Your's is pretty long too. I mean. You.. only really do one thing with it.."
"There isn't much I can do with it. It's just always like this."
Seriously. He doesn't style it. Have you ever seen him look in a mirror, Yuri? (Well, there are other reasons for that but let's not get into that.)
"As long as you're aware that you're going to one day be taken down by a cat," Vanitas mused teasingly, head tilting as he looked at Yuri. "I guess we'll just have to try and make the best of it while you're still alive."
"Wild and insane? I should try to help you some time. Just because its fuzzy doesn't mean you can't try to do something with it." He reaches up to touch it.
Well, it did certainly seem to have a mind of its own just from the texture but there was no reason Yuri couldn't figure something out with it.
"Yes, we'll have to do our best to make the most of every moment before I'm violently murdered by an angry cat."
Yuri shakes his head, running his fingers through the black hair now to semi-style it. Maybe if he braided the sides down and left the middle up..? It was an idea. He would have to sit Vanitas down long enough to try it.
"No, don't cut it all off though you could probably use a trim at least..."
He laughs, shaking his head. "Technically, the end is coming for everyone isn't it..? So I'm exactly where I started."
It..felt nice to have someone run their fingers through his hair like that. Actually, this was the first time anyone had ever done it. Strange, huh?
"Aw, do you like my long hair?" he said playfully, relaxing more into the couch as he glanced at Yuri with a grin rather than his usual smirk. "I guess that's a fair point. We're all living on borrow time or some crap like that."
Yuri flips his head so his hair flicked out of his eyes as he flops down next to Vanitas. He would have to hold the other young man down sometime. Trim some of the broken ends off, show him the joy of hair styling. The joy being a loose term but the looking good part was nice.
"I don't think its borrowed, really. I think its given to us and its up to use not to waste it."
"I guess? I mean, we all get given a set of time and what we do with it is what matters. I've probably messed up a lot of mine to be honest. But I got plenty more, I'm sure."
At least he hoped so. It would be nice to not have it cut short suddenly like so many others. Maybe he really wasn't taking advantage of it like he should be but there wasn't much he could do about the years he'd already spent.
"I don't know how time works here, if its actually taking from whatever little pot I have but its definitely some of the better time I've spent."

Go for the buzzed look or something. Or a side cut. He'd seen some punk with one and he kind of liked it.
"At least you know the end is coming. Maybe not when it's coming but you know how."

"Of course you do, your highness," he drawled before shifting to tuck his arms behind his head without knocking Yuri in the process.
"...I guess that's one way to look at it. A better way of looking at it, I guess."
